Who we are

This is the personal blog of Daniel and Caitlyn Gallagher at thegallaghers.blog. We write about food, life, wellness, and our move from Nelson, New Zealand to the Gold Coast, Australia.

What information we collect

We only collect information you voluntarily provide:

We do not collect any information automatically beyond standard server logs provided by Vercel and the automated bot-protection checks described under "Bot and abuse protection" below.

How we use your information

We use your information only to:

• ◆Send you occasional newsletters and updates (if you subscribed).
• ◆Give you access to the members-only recipe library.
• ◆Reply to your messages.

We will never sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Cookies

This site uses a minimal number of cookies, only where necessary:

• ◆A session cookie to remember your recipe library access once you've logged in.
• ◆Strictly-necessary cookies that Cloudflare Turnstile may set to run its "are you human?" check when you sign in, sign up, reset your password, or start a plan as a guest.

We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies, and none of these cookies are used to profile you or follow you across other websites.

Bot and abuse protection

To stop automated bots from abusing our sign-in, sign-up, password-reset, and guest-planner forms, we use Cloudflare Turnstile — a privacy-focused alternative to traditional CAPTCHAs. When you use one of those forms, Cloudflare may process technical information such as your IP address, your browser and device characteristics, and interaction signals in order to tell humans apart from bots. This check runs only on those forms, and Cloudflare does not use it to track you across other websites or for advertising. This processing is carried out by Cloudflare under its own privacy policy — cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
